Theory of Change
Our “why” and “how” of the change we are contributing to.
VISION
We want to live in a world, where differences are embraced and cherished, where power is shared and interdependence acknowledged.
ISSUE
Inequity and injustice are still widely present in various layers of our everyday life, as a consequence of human history of oppression, lack of diverse representation, conservative thinking and fear of change. Hierarchies and centralization of power keep the status quo stable. The status quo that treats humans as resources, grants right to exploit people and not think about broader planetary capacities and future generations, lets violence remain invisible and treated as a norm and that grants only some groups access to leadership positions.
By working with leaders in the creative sector to transform existing narratives we are creating a more diverse, equitable and inclusive world.
ASSUMPTIONS
Change requires time, resilience, and leaning into uncertainty.
We are all both privileged and disprivileged.
All oppression is connected.
Our work is much more than us and much bigger than our organization.
Learning/unlearning is healing.
Art is in the centre of any social justice movement.
WHAT WILL BRING CHANGE
Liberated, strong, self-loving and other-loving humans, who know that they are worthy, yet not the most important.
Healing from collective narcissism.
Learning to listen, feel, and unlearn.
Spaces to embrace non-normative ways of thinking and being, and focus on non-mainstream narratives.
Building together humility and empathy - practicing inclusive leadership.
OUR ROLE in CHANGE
Supporting cultural and arts institutions and collectives transforming into more diverse, equitable and inclusive ones by bringing intersectional and antidiscrimination approach and addressing power dynamics.
Creating learning experiences not as consumption of knowledge, but digesting it. Tapping into learning with whole body, emotions.
Bringing methods and approaches that challenge the normative ways of how learning spaces are created.
Focusing on long-term, deep, systemic change.
METHODS/ACTIVITIES
We facilitate workshops and trainings for diverse leaders;
We (co)design equity and inclusion roadmaps for cultural and arts organisations;
We curate a transformational learning and leadership program for women in arts and culture from Eastern Europe;
We curate events and conversations about justice, equity and the role of arts in imagining other worlds possible.
OUTCOMES
Leadership of cultural and arts institutions and collectives become more diverse, equitable and inclusive. Leaders have created supportive relationships across the sector and geographies, and have tools and strategies to challenge oppression.
Culture in the organisations is more equitable, which leads to more diverse people working there, a variety of perspectives, which can relate better to the realities of the world and audiences of the organizations.
Organisations know what steps to take and how in order to change, and have engaged in long-term transformation processes.
Participants of our learning spaces feel confident taking leadership positions and bravely start change initiatives. They are vocal agents of change, have the tools to challenge and change oppressive narratives, and build strong relationships among themselves.
Broader public is engaged in (familiar with) equity, justice, inclusion narratives which brings increased knowledge about collective leadership, power relations, interconnectedness, and intersectionality.
There are creative and inclusive formats for uncomfortable conversations, which motivates people to continue having these conversations.

We make our interconnectedness with one another and the ecosystem visible and clear - and make it a source of our actions.
Imagination
We believe that being able to imagine is key to transformation, and our work is designed to unleash your creativity and practice imagining more just and equitable ways of being and relating.
Solidarity
We need to be in solidarity with each other to make other worlds possible, be aware that we are all interdependent, so we invite to practice being actively anti-biased.
